Everyone desires to be healthy and fit but deeds fall short of what’s need to be done. After trying for few good days things come back to square one. Sometimes its work-life imbalance and many times it's our own laziness that becomes impediment. However, I am attempting to list out ways by which the healthy life is easy to achieve and life can be lived happily. Take it as small precautions and suggestions one should take into one’s stride to live a desired healthy life:
1. Regular Health checkup: Regular health checkup is a must for everybody and as the age increases it becomes more necessary. It is always said prevention is better than cure and the diseases if diagnosed at the early stage helps taking corrective action and to lead a healthy life which is very necessary not only for an individual but the entire family. It doesn’t cost much as well , today diagnostic centers are available which gives entire package at a very cheap rate, which includes many tests such as BMI , blood checkup, urine checkup, stool test, ECG , etc.
2. Drink water: Drinking water is the best gift one can have for oneself. It automatically washes the body from within and one remains active throughout the day. Drinking water in the mornings is very beneficial, at one hand it cleanses the system on the other body gets adequately hydrated. Many skin problems, hair problems, fat, laziness all stays at bay just by drinking enough water!
3. Take health insurance: One never knows what will happen tomorrow so it’s always suggested to take insurance. It's sand when purchased but is gold when realized. Health insurance has become really cheaper these days, and one benefit of taking health insurance is this that it comes with regular health checkup package so the premium cost which you have incurred automatically gets covered. Assessing it from the monetary angle is also beneficial, One gets Tax exemption and allows getting oneself taking benefit of free health checkups. Further, the insurance premium slabs are least for age up to 26 years. hence, the earlier the policy is taken the better. One may try Family Floater plans as well.
4. Exercise: Exercise keeps the body active and gives it the required movement that ensures optimum metabolism. Often it’s seen that even at the old age many people remain active but many of us feel lethargic even at very young age, the difference is- exercise. Early morning exercises fill fresh air that recharges the body rest of the day.
5. Healthy food: Its said- You become what you Eat and what you think of yourself. Hence, feed your body with balanced food and mind with beautiful thoughts.
6. The importance of time: Time and Tide wait for none. Every second count and those who mean it reach the helm. Rudyard Kipling said once- If you can fill the unforgiving second with the distance worth of a second run yours is the earth and everything that’s on it.
7. Never miss medicines: Taking medicines on time is really very important, those who miss the medicines they themselves increase the chance of being unhealthy. Medicines are helpful in curing the disease and help to recover fast. There has been a time when because of not getting proper medical help it used to be very difficult to save lives but today it is not the same. So take your medicines on time and help yourself.
8. Don’t be the pill guy: As it’s important to take medicines on time, in the same manner, it is equally important not to be totally dependent on medicines. As far as possible try to live your life in a healthy manner so the need of medicines is least.
9. Cleanliness : Significance of cleanliness is learnt at very early stage of our upbringing and has to be followed by every walk of life. Office and Home are always kept tidy but we must learn to keep every that place we dwell upon pristinely clean. It keeps us happy and inspires others also to imbibe the same spirit.
10. Natural remedies and Ayurveda : Follow the Ayurveda and natural remedies for the reason that they do not have any side-effects and since they are naturally sourced are more receptive to the body than the other remedies. Aloe vera, Amla, Lime, Tulsi, Turmeric are few of the many such options available.
